Today
is the anniversary of our moving into this house and I want to express our delight
in all the pleasure it brings us. Many people's efforts went into assuring that
it worked out as hoped but no one made a greater contribution than you.
Your
overall care and expertise has resulted in a home of great harmony and composure
that contributes in a major way to our own. You are certainly to be congratulated
for having this ability.

Hiring
Bruce was one of the best decisions we ever made.
We
found a spectacular lot with gorgeous ocean views where we wanted to build our
dream house. Shoreline building regulations are very strict and we were not sure
if anything livable could be designed that would both look good and fit our needs.
We talked to many people and while everyone agreed that the lot was spectacular,
Bruce was the only person who viewed the building requirements as a positive challenge.
He felt that the restrictions could be viewed as a chance to be creative.
Bruce
took into careful consideration a lengthy wish list of elements that we ideally
wanted to include in our plans. He also worked closely with the town to make sure
he was adhering to all the local requirements. He incorporated everything we asked
for into his design and got immediate (within twenty-four hours) approval from
the town when the completed plans were presented.
The
house has turned out to be even better than what we could have ever envisioned
and that is due entirely to Bruce's skills and expertise as an architect. One
of the most impressive parts of the design is how Bruce sited the house and located
the windows so that there is a view from every room. The house is beautiful and
functional. All the spaces work. Everything from the design of the fireplace to
the layouts of the bathrooms is carefully considered. Finally, our new neighbors
are very happy with the sensitivity that was shown to the surrounding area. The
house fits in perfectly.
Marshall has been in the residential
construction business for over thirty years and has worked with many architects.
Bruce Butler is among the finest.

Bruce
Butler's name was given to us by our contractor when I asked which architect's
work he appreciated implementing. Bruce met and interviewed us in our newly purchased
house about our desire to have a sun room addition. During the process of design,
Bruce listened to our suggestions, offering serious dialog and logical advice
that ultimately made our sun room a remarkable space. His design complemented
the house and accommodated our lifestyle without forfeiting a creative and stunning
solution. We were thrilled. It was beyond anything we could have imagined.
