Great Chebeague Island Renovation

The Owners wanted to expand their cape-style home in three critical areas in order to accommodate an ever-increasing extended family.

The kitchen was bumped out four feet and the layout was modified to include an island and more pantry-type storage.

To increase seating capacity for guests, the living room was also bumped out with the addition of a large bay window, almost the full depth of the room.

One facet of the bay window was designed as a French door for access to a new screened, freestanding gazebo, a few steps away. The gazebo anchors one end of a deck that extends the full length of the house.
